Abstract/Description: A write-up of the delivery of more than 200 electric beds for the opening of University Hospital Unit IV. "More than 200 electric beds have been delivered for the new Hospital since the end of August. The first order of 50 mattresses was expected to arrive September 22. After all existing beds are replaced, new areas will be opened in October. "We have not yet determined where we will put the additional beds first -- whether it will be in surgical intensive care units or general beds," according to Ralph Cerny. Since late summer some type of furniture has been arriving practically every day, such as stacking chairs for the classrooms in the Hospital, chairs for the dining room, and lounge furniture for patients and visitors lounges. The cafeteria tables and big furniture, such as office desks and chairs, were expected to be in by late September. The rest of the equipment will come within the next few months, according to Mr. Cerny."
